Featuring Threads of Life tapestries by The Tapestry Weavers South, For the Love of Art featuring artwork by local Gainesville artist Judy Black. Food For Thought artworks by the members of the Atlanta Fine Arts League. THE CAR SHOW a special transportation-themed juried exhibition.
The Tapestry Weavers South as a regional tapestry organization's mission is to share and preserve the knowledge and practice of tapestry art by supporting and encouraging tapestry artists and weavers through workshops, retreats and exhibitions. Their membership includes tapestry weavers of all skill levels, primarily in the southeastern states. However, membership in TWS is open to all individuals with an interest in tapestry.
Judy Black, a local Gainesville artist will showcase her exhibition “For the Love of Art” in the
Thomas Gallery. Her oil paintings include still life, figures, North Georgia landscapes, wildlife and more. Click here for her website.
The Atlanta Fine Arts League consists of a group of Atlanta area artists that provide professional visual artists, working in representational genres, opportunities for exhibition, art and business education, and to offer opportunities for community service through their art. Their professional artist members include
painters, sculptors, print makers, designers and illustrators.
The CAR SHOW is a juried exhibition featuring artwork with a theme of the modes of transportation. In conjunction with the reception opening, there will be a showing of classic cars with awards and announcements for the juried exhibitions starting at 6:30PM. And the winners are...
